"Looking back at the first top500 list (06/1993), and going by the 1.375
FLOPS/Hz rule for AMD 786 family processors (reference: Dani Eder's
hardware progress reports), my $A70 Duron 1GHz, would have sat at around
220th position. I'm using my mid-90s top 250 supercomputer to browse
the web and email people, what are you doing with yours?"
